ROBERT TAYLOR (Music Director, violin, guitar, vocals) – Responsible for arrangements, instrumentation and choral direction. Robert was born blind on a small farm in Oklahoma. In his world with only sound and touch, Robert took to music like faith to a preacher. An operation gave him sight at age of 12, but not before developing an unbelievable sense of music. He studied classical music and vocals with the best teachers including Christine Ims, of the New York Metropolitan Opera. Robert played with the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra and also won the national “Golden Fiddle” championship judged by Charlie Daniels. He has played on hundreds of radio and TV commercials, toured internationally and performed with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker and others.
TIM TICE (Lead Vocalist) – An original member of the band, Tim has anchored the vocal section from the beginning. He is an exceptional tenor soloist with a phenomenal range. Tim was born and raised in the Atlanta area. He won first place (and $50,000) in the nationally televised “Nashville, Be a Star” competition. Tim traveled nationally and opened for Diamond Rio, T Graham Brown and many other recording artists.
LINA KAWAR (Lead Vocalist) – Born in Lebanon, but grew up on the island of Cyprus, Lina studied in Holland and USA. She has performed and recorded in all four countries. Fluent in three languages, she is featured on numerous TV and radio spots. Lina won first place in the nationally televised singing competition “Afeteries” (meaning, “Chances”) in Cyprus. She wrote and performed three songs for the Bo Derek movie “Life in the Balance.” Lina has been with the band for over 10 years.
LISA MANULI (Lead Vocalist) Lisa is a highly accomplished singer, actor, and voice over artist. She has toured nationally, performing to sold out houses at venues such as The Fox Theatre and the critically acclaimed Tony Award winning Trinity Repertory Company. She studies under master vocal technician Aaron Hagan (who coaches/accompanies the likes of Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, Melissa Manchester, Liza Minnelli, and others), and has been cast in productions alongside Sally Struthers and Jennifer Holliday. A union actor, she has headlined several theaters in the US, including the Lyric Theater in Atlanta. Lisa has also done voice overs and sang on several telenovelas, animated films, and cartoons including “Dora The Explorer.”
DAVID SHAVER (Keyboards, guitar, backup vocals) – Played keys on the gold record “Moonlight Feels Right” with the group “Starbuck.” David toured internationally and opened for Boston, Styx, Hall & Oates, and many others. He has performed on various TV shows including The Merv Griffin Show, Dick Clark, Mike Douglas, and Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert.
MIKE HALE (Bass guitar, lead/backup vocals) – A touring professional, who has played over 1,000 shows in just about every state and town spanning from Key West, Florida to Alaska. Known for his energetic live show and off-the-wall stage antics, he has entertained audiences from 150 to 15,000. When not performing for Glow, Mike is a visual arts professor and an accomplished videographer.
MICHAEL AHMANN (Drums) – Well known as the “Human Metronome” in the music community. He has recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in the southeast including Puttin’ On the Hitz, Mark Pertain, Tim Acres, Cadillac Ranch and others. Michael studied under both Jack Bell and Lee Venters. Handpicked as drummer for the famed Chick-Fil-A “Moo Cow Band,” he toured throughout the nation.
CURBE DREHER (Guitar, bass, keys, drums) – GLOW’s newest and youngest member, Curbe holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Technology from Georgia State University where he also studied jazz guitar with Dave Frackenpohl. An astonishing multi-instrumentalist, Curbe is equally proficient on drums, piano, and bass. He was honored to perform in the 2014 Macy’s Day Parade alongside YouTube sensation C00p3rdrumm3r. Curbe’s phenomenal guitar work is highlighted in the Eagles song Hotel California where he always draws standing ovations.
